170 combat engagements took place on the frontline yesterday, more than a third of them in the Kurakhove sector, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a summary as of 8 a.m. on November 1, UNN reports.

According to the updated information, yesterday the enemy launched three missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using seven missiles, as well as 57 air strikes, dropped 108 UAVs, and used 1366 kamikaze drones. In addition, it fired 4241 times, including 160 times from MLRS.
Over the past 24 hours, the missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces reportedly hit one missile troop and artillery vehicle and nine areas of concentration of personnel and equipment of the Russian invaders.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attacked three times in the areas of Vovchansk and Vovchansky Khutory.
In the Kupyansk sector, 15 occupants' attacks took place over the last day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Lozova, Berestove and Vyshneve.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 21 times. He tried to advance near Katerynivka, Stepove, Hrekivka, Terny and in the Serebryansky forest.
In the Kramatorsk sector, one firefight was registered in the area of Chasovyi Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy made three attacks near Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 35 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of Promin, Lysivka and Vyshneve.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Defense Forces repelled 60 attacks on the positions of our troops near Novoselydivka, Kreminna Balka, Novodmytrivka, Ostrovske, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka and Yelyzavetivka. The occupants were most actively trying to advance in the areas of Antonivka and Yelyzavetivka.
On the Vremivsky direction, the enemy made five assaults on our positions in the areas of Bohoyavlenka and Trudove. He actively used attack and bomber aircraft to attack the area.
On the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers attacked twice in the direction of Novodanylivka, received a tough rebuff, and suffered losses.
On the Prydniprovsky direction, Russian invaders stormed the positions of our units four times, but they were unsuccessful.
No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy is actively using artillery and aviation from the territory of the Russian Federation in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements.
"The operation in the Kursk region continues. According to available information, Russian aviation conducted 21 strikes using 33 anti-aircraft missiles on its territory over the past day," the report says.
According to the General Staff, our soldiers are inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and are actively undermining the enemy's offensive potential in the rear.
