During his working visit to Sumy region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited our soldiers who are recovering from injuries. The President talked to the military and presented state awards. This is reported by UNN with reference to the President's Telegram channel and the press service of the Presidential Office.
"Today I am in Sumy region. I visited our soldiers who are recovering from injuries. It is always an honor for me to thank the defenders and recognize them with state awards. We are proud of our soldiers. We appreciate the work of our doctors. I thank every doctor for helping our soldiers, bringing them back to life," Zelensky wrote.
The President talked to the servicemen who are undergoing treatment in the institution. These defenders were wounded in the Kupyansk and Bakhmut sectors, near the village of Krynky in Kherson region.
Zelenskyy also presented the wounded defenders with state awards: the Order "For Courage" of the third degree, the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine", and the medal "To the Defender of the Fatherland".
"The President was briefed on the course of treatment and recovery of Ukrainian soldiers, including those who were seriously wounded. He inquired about the health of the military and wished them a speedy recovery," the Presidential Office said.
