The President of Ukraine called on his partners to authorize the use of long-range weapons deep into Russia and more air defense systems. Zelenskyy emphasized that this would not lead to escalation, but rather bring peace closer.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for permission to use long-range weapons from partners deep into Russia and urged partners to provide more air defense systems. He made this statement during the inaugural plenary session of the IV Summit of the European Political Community, an UNN correspondent reports .

We did not allow Russia to advance in the Kharkiv region. Putin put tens of thousands of his citizens there, but achieved nothing, nothing important and significant. This happened thanks to the bravery of our soldiers and the bravery of our partners who lifted restrictions on the use of weapons near the border. Did this lead to an escalation? No! On the contrary, it blocked Putin's attempts to expand the war

- Zelensky says.

According to him, Putin did not react to this in any way, even when Russia hit Okhmatdyt, where there were children with cancer.

This only demonstrated the evil that Russia is bringing, and therefore we must act with the utmost courage to achieve results. We can end this war through diplomatic and military efforts. The more effective our air defense is, the more helpless Putin will be. The less restrictions we have on the use of weapons, the more Russia will try to move towards peace

- the President said.

He emphasized that all airfields from which Russian bombers take off should be destroyed.

Recall

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers it fair to allow Ukraine to strike partner countries with long-range weapons deep into the territory of Russia, and says that this issue should be pressed.
