Zelenskyy proposes parliament to extend martial law and mobilization

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft laws on extending martial law and general mobilization from August 2, 2026 for another 90 days.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy today submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft laws proposing to extend martial law (No. 15401) and general mobilization (No. 15402) in Ukraine for another 90 days, as reported on the parliament's website, writes UNN.  

Details

The first, according to the explanatory note, proposes "to extend the period of martial law in Ukraine from 05:30 on August 2, 2026, for 90 days."

The second, according to the explanatory note, stipulates that "the period of general mobilization is extended from August 2, 2026, for 90 days."
