The President of Ukraine met with a bipartisan delegation of the U.S. Congress. They discussed strengthening air defense, sanctions against russia and diplomatic settlement.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with a bipartisan delegation of the U.S. Congress, during which the sides discussed strengthening Ukrainian air defense, prospects for diplomacy, and a bill on sanctions against russia. The head of state reported this on Telegram, writes UNN.

The President noted that during the meeting, the sides substantively discussed the prospects for a diplomatic settlement and the conditions necessary for its successful implementation.

He also informed American lawmakers about the shortage of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems and russian strikes on the civilian population.

According to Zelenskyy, contributions to PURL and other supplies of air defense assets are currently the main priority for the defense of Ukraine.

The sides also discussed a bill on sanctions against russia.
