President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Oleksandr Yakovets from the post of commander of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and appointed him head of the administration of the State Special Transport Service. This is stated in the texts of Zelensky's decrees published on the President's website, UNN reports .

"To dismiss Yakovets Oleksandr Vasylovych from the post of Commander of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," reads Decree No. 244/2024.
Presidential Decree #245/2024 dismissed Bohdan Bondar from the post of head of the administration of the State Special Transport Service.
Oleksandr Yakovets was appointed in his place.
"To appoint Yakovets Oleksandr Vasylovych as the Head of the Administration of the State Special Transport Service," the decree reads. №246/2024
All presidential decrees are dated April 26.

Oleksandr Yakovets previously served as the Head of the Engineering Troops Department of the Armed Forces Support Command. He has been the Commander of the Armed Forces Support Forces since March 4, 2024.
In 1996 , Yakovets was awarded the Order of Courage, III class, by the state for demining the railway station in Snovsk, Chernihiv region.
