Fraudsters are sending SMS messages about registering for an appointment to gain access to your phone. Do not follow suspicious links and do not enter your data on unknown sites.

Fraudsters have come up with a new scheme by sending messages about "registration for an appointment." They do not specify where exactly the registration is, but by clicking on the link, attackers can gain full access to your phone: personal data, photos, passwords, and banking applications. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation, reports UNN.

Fraudsters have launched a new scheme - they are sending out mass SMS messages with the text "You are registered for an appointment." The message deliberately does not specify where the appointment is, so that users click on the link in the message out of curiosity. If you follow it, attackers can gain full access to your phone: personal data, photos, passwords and banking applications

- the message says.

The CPD called on people not to click on suspicious links from SMS from unknown users, not to enter their data on unknown sites and to block the sender of such messages under any circumstances.

In Kyiv, an organized group of fraudsters who posed as "agribusinessmen" will be tried. The defendants defrauded banks of 29 million hryvnias.
