Yermak noted the personal leadership of Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giorgi Meloni in comprehensive support of the Ukrainian state and consolidation of European partners around assistance to Ukraine.
"We discussed the situation on the frontline, further security cooperation, preparation of the 12th package of EU sanctions against Russia. I informed that today President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees on the introduction of further sanctions by Ukraine against individuals and legal entities that support the aggressor," Yermak said.
He also expressed his gratitude to Italy for supporting the Peace Formula, in particular for the participation of the Italian representative in the meeting of national security and political advisers in Malta.
"In continuation of the dialogue between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Italian Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni, together with Adolfo Urso, discussed areas of cooperation during Italy's upcoming presidency of the Group of Seven next year," Yermak said.

High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, together with the European Commission, submitted proposals for the 12th package of sanctions against Russia.
Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Józsiak said that Hungary had completely blocked the discussion of new EU sanctions against Russia.
