Anastasiia Fedorova, the wife of former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, has called on Ukrainians not to create a "cult of personality" around her husband. This was reported by UNN citing Fedorova's post on Instagram.
Details
As Fedorova noted, she is afraid to live in a country "where people cannot stop at the stage of gratitude for the result and dignified defense of justice and begin to build a sick cult of personality."
She added that her social media posts, including family videos of the couple, are being used in fantasies on personal accounts. According to her, some female users describe in detail what they would do with her husband.
I really want my daughter to grow up in a country where no one is chased and people are not made into idols. Where people know their own worth. Where women have self-respect. Where there is dignity
The wife of the former defense minister also added that she wants to live in a country where decisions are made with a cool head and critical thinking, not by mass euphoria in social media within a day.
Reminder
The decision of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy not to reappoint Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defense caused outrage among some Ukrainian military personnel and veterans.
