White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt returned to the briefing room on Thursday, for the first time since she went on maternity leave earlier this year, UNN reports, citing AP.
Leavitt last held a briefing on April 24, before going on leave and giving birth to a daughter on May 1. She returned to work at the White House at the end of June.

While she was away, the White House relied on a rotation of cabinet members, including Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
The publication notes that Leavitt's return comes ahead of a national address that Trump is set to deliver on Thursday evening. The U.S. president stated that he will discuss topics such as elections and voting machines.
