The Verkhovna Rada is planning to consider in the first reading a draft law that provides for the verification of data on the place of residence and a digitized face image by the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers when obtaining a driver's license, as well as registration/re-registration of cars. This is reported by UNN with reference to the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada meeting and the card of the bill No. 9504.
Details
According to the draft law, service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, when persons applying for driver's licenses, registration/re-registration, deregistration of vehicles, will have the right to receive information from the Register, including for its verification, necessary for the provision of these administrative services, namely:
- name of the person (in Ukrainian and Latin letters in accordance with the rules of transliteration);
- date of birth;
- place of birth;
- information on the registered or declared place of residence (stay) of the person, deregistration of the person's place of residence or change of place of residence (stay) of the person;
- details of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine, a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad, a permanent residence permit, a temporary residence permit, a refugee certificate, a certificate of a person in need of additional protection, a certificate of a person granted temporary protection;
- unique number of the entry in the Register;
- digitized image of a person's face.
The draft law also proposes to authorize the Cabinet of Ministers to determine the procedure for obtaining information, including for its verification, necessary for the provision of administrative services from information systems and electronic databases (registers) of executive authorities and other state bodies, including the Unified State Demographic Register, as well as the scope of such information.
Recall
The number of TruCAM speed cameras in Ukraine is increasing, speed measurement will be carried out at 17 new sites. In total, the number of such devices on Ukrainian roads will reach 160, and speed measurement will take place at 295 sites.
