Commenting on the draft law on rotation and demobilization, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that work is underway. He also emphasized that the priority is now the defense of Ukraine. He said this during a briefing, reports UNN.
When asked at what stage the draft law on rotation and demobilization was being developed, Umerov replied:
"The priority is to defend the country now, we see that the enemy is increasing the number of personnel. We have recently worked together with the Commander-in-Chief, with the Chief of the General Staff in the Verkhovna Rada, met with the leadership of the factions, and discussed this issue. So we are working in this direction.

Earlier, Roman Kostenko, secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, said that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to finalize a draft law on the procedure and conditions for discharging military personnel from service by December 18 this year.
In July of this year, Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Lazutkin stated that the Ministry of Defense does not know whether demobilization is possible now , as it depends on very theoretical and practical factors.
