Ukraine's first 3D-printed house for the family of a fallen soldier built in Irpin

The first house in Ukraine to be built with a 3D printer was created in Kyiv region. The 130-m² house was built in 58 hours for the family of fallen soldier Yaroslav Berezov, whose previous house was destroyed by the occupiers.

For the first time in Ukraine, a house was built with a 3D printer in Irpin, Kyiv region. The family of a fallen Ukrainian soldier will live in it. This was announced by Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, UNN reports.

Details

According to Fedorov, the Russian occupiers destroyed the family home of military man Yaroslav Berezov during the occupation of the city in 2022. The hero himself was killed in the battles for Bakhmut that year. 

The minister said that the new home for the defender's family was built using a 3D printer from the Ukrainian startup 3D UTU. The 130-m² house was built in just 58 hours, which is about 2 days of printer operation.

Yesterday, on July 18, the wife and children of the fallen hero received the keys to the apartment free of charge.  

Such construction is not only about speed and efficiency. This technology also makes it possible to build energy-efficient and more environmentally friendly buildings. This makes it even more relevant for Ukraine, which is striving for sustainable development after the war

Recall

The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, said that this year Kyiv region will receive UAH 700 million in subventions from the state budget to purchase housing for veterans and their families. In Kyiv region, 300 veterans and their families will be able to receive financial compensation.
