President of Finland Alexander Stubb stated that Russia has already suffered a strategic defeat in the war against Ukraine, as it has achieved results opposite to those the Kremlin had hoped for. He said this in an interview with Politico, reports UNN.

According to the Finnish president, the first and biggest failure of Moscow is that Ukraine is irreversibly moving toward European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Failure number one – Ukraine will be European. It will be a member state of the European Union and eventually a member state of NATO
Finland's accession to NATO and the strengthening of Europe's defense
Stubb called NATO's expansion the second strategic failure of Russia. According to him, it was the full-scale invasion of Ukraine that caused Finland and Sweden to abandon their long-standing neutrality and join the Alliance.
The president noted that without Russian aggression, these countries would not have become NATO members, and now the Alliance has gained some of the strongest armies in the region.
The third consequence of the Kremlin's actions, according to Stubb, is the sharp increase in defense spending by European states.
So I simply do not believe in the narrative that Russia has become stronger or more influential
