Advisor Podolyak stated Kyiv's readiness for various ceasefire formats, including in the air and energy. The US supports these proposals to move toward negotiations.

Ukraine offers the Russian side several possible formats for ceasing hostilities, including an air truce, a halt to attacks on energy infrastructure, and a freeze of the war along the current front line.  This was stated by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President, Mykhailo Podolyak, on DW, reports UNN

After this, the parties could move on to complex negotiations on settling the war.

Details

According to Podolyak, official Kyiv is not limited to one ceasefire option and is ready to consider various formats that could become a first step toward the negotiation process.

"A whole range of formats can be found. Plus, a freeze of the war along the front line is proposed in order to then conduct difficult negotiations," said the adviser to the head of the OP.

He noted that among the Ukrainian proposals there is also a cessation of hostilities in the airspace and an energy truce, which would involve the parties refraining from strikes on energy infrastructure.

Podolyak also emphasized that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has repeatedly stated his readiness to personally meet with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin. During such a meeting, according to him, the most complex issues that cannot be finally resolved at the level of negotiating groups could be discussed.

Finally, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President added that the United States supports the ceasefire formats proposed by Ukraine and the subsequent transition to negotiations.

Reminder

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Putin is preparing mobilization and new strikes, hoping to prolong the war. He called on partners to increase pressure on Russia to achieve peace in the autumn.
