Ukraine and the EU have agreed on a list of acts for the integration of the aviation industry into the European space. The goal is for the market to operate according to EU standards after the opening of the skies.

Ukraine is moving towards the practical implementation of European rules in the field of aviation – from flight safety to passenger rights protection. This was announced by the Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, after a meeting of the Joint Aviation Committee Ukraine-EU, reports UNN.

The first meeting of the Joint Aviation Committee Ukraine-EU since 2022 was held. This is one of the key instruments for implementing the Common Aviation Area Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, which establishes common rules for aviation and integrates our state into the European aviation system.

- Kuleba reported.

According to him, the key result is the agreement on a list of EU legal acts that Ukraine must implement, as well as approaches to their implementation, taking into account current conditions.

This means a transition to the practical implementation of European rules in aviation – from flight safety to passenger rights protection. Our goal is that after the skies reopen, the Ukrainian market operates under the same rules as in the EU: transparently, safely, and with equal conditions for carriers.

- Kuleba added.

The Minister noted that Ukrainian airlines are currently operating in extremely difficult conditions, which is why the system is being prepared now – so that after flights resume, the market is immediately integrated into the European space.
