As noted, Ukraine and France are stepping up cooperation in air and missile defense.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk thanked the French side for its participation in the coalition of integrated air and missile defense of Ukraine during a meeting with the delegation of the French Senate.
The founding meeting of this coalition was reportedly held in Berlin under the chairmanship of France and Germany.
According to Havryliuk, as part of the coalition's activities, the Defense Ministry expects to receive additional supplies of modern air defense systems and missiles for them.
We need additional anti-aircraft guided missiles and radar reconnaissance capabilities, primarily to detect and destroy enemy ballistic missiles
Havryliuk also emphasized the interest in training Ukrainian military pilots in France, in particular in increasing the number of training places for technical and support personnel to maintain Western-type aircraft.
