Ukraine expects to receive new-generation SAMP/T systems, but the supply of anti-ballistic systems and missiles remains a matter of time due to limited production and long queues from various countries. At the same time, according to Zelenskyy, Ukraine also counts on the SAMP/T NG - a new generation system. He stressed that SAMP/T missiles are available in France and Italy, which are working together in this direction.
We also count on SAMP/T. Is it an analogue of Patriot? Yes, it is an expensive system, expensive missiles. And we very much hope that thanks to our agreements with France, with Emmanuel we signed the relevant document, we receive the relevant systems
The Ukrainian leader also noted that with both Patriot and SAMP/T, deliveries depend on time, as the production of such systems remains limited.
"But with both Patriot and SAMP/T, it is a matter of time. Production is very small, queues are very long from various countries, and therefore we are working in different directions. Not only Patriot, not only SAMP/T," the President said.
