Poland and Ukraine sign a security agreement. According to the Polish prime minister, it is perceived in Poland as a mutual commitment with practical consequences.

Poland perceives the security agreement with Ukraine as a mutual obligation, not empty promises, and it will have practical consequences. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, an UNN correspondent reports.

The immediate reason for our meeting is to sign a very important document. 19 states have already signed similar mutual commitments with Ukraine related to mutual security. Every word in this document means something to us. These words will have practical consequences. We see these words as a mutual commitment, not empty promises. In the near future, together with our other allies, we will implement the intentions of this document step by step

- Tusk said.

He emphasized that russia's attack on Ukraine is also an attack on Ukraine's friends and neighbors.

We all know that russia's attack on Ukraine is also an attack on Ukraine's friends and neighbors. We know very well that if this war ended badly, it would end badly not only for Ukraine, but also for Poland, for the whole of Europe, for the whole of the Western world. We, the Poles, are helping Ukraine out of our friendship and solidarity, but also out of our interest, because whoever defends Ukraine today is also defending themselves

- Tusk said.
