In the Lviv region, a driver's carelessness at a regulated railway crossing almost led to a tragedy. This was reported by UNN with reference to Ukrzaliznytsia.
Details
The driver of a truck "did not notice" the working sound and light signaling and collided with the locomotive of train No. 64 Przemyśl - Kyiv.
The driver later fled, but there were no casualties, Ukrzaliznytsia reported. Citizens were reminded of the following rules:
- crossing tracks is only allowed at crossings and only when permitted;
- always stop before the stop line or barrier;
- do not move if the traffic light or sound signal is working;
- make sure no train is approaching.
