The Ukrainian Defense Forces are actively using BAD.2 robotic dogs from the British company Brit Alliance at the front. These drones are excellent at reconnaissance, thus saving the lives of scouts. This was reported by Bild, UNN.

The journalists noted that these robots are compact, durable, and maneuverable. They can also reach places where an aerial drone cannot. For example, inside buildings or Russian trenches.
In addition, robot dogs with a video camera scout the neighborhood, detect booby traps and calculate the movements of Russian troops. According to the newspaper, there are already more than 30 such dogs at the front.
Bild also noted that thanks to anti-thermal camouflage from the German company Concamo, they are almost impossible to detect. Robotic dogs move across the battlefield at speeds of up to 15 km/h and operate within a 3.5 km radius for five hours.
Their cost, depending on the modification, ranges from 4 to 8 thousand euros. According to the newspaper, the first to test robot dogs were soldiers of the 28th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In support of this article, the military themselves show photos of the robot in combat conditions.
However, as you can see from the photos of the soldiers, the drone is used not only for reconnaissance. In some shots, you can see that the robot is also capable of carrying ammunition and various equipment.
