The State Department noted that until Russia stops this war, it is important for the United States to continue to lead the coalition that it has built with more than 50 countries that firmly support Ukraine.
"If Congress does not approve the president's request for additional national security funding, this will be one of the last security assistance packages we can provide to Ukraine. Helping Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression and secure its future contributes to our national security interests and contributes to global stability around the world, and we need Congress to act immediately" - Blinken said in a statement.
