The United States has approved a $2 billion loan to Poland for military needs, the State Department reports, UNN reports.

"The United States announces an agreement with Poland on a second $2 billion loan for military needs," the department said in a statement.

The State Department notes that the decision will strengthen NATO, and Poland is taking steps to modernize its military program, including purchasing F-35 fighter jets, Patriot air defense systems, and Abrams tanks from the United States.
