The National Bank of Ukraine is not currently considering changing the design of the one thousand hryvnia banknote. This was stated by Oleh Prokhoda, Director of the NBU's Monetary Circulation Department, during a telethon, adding that the banknote was put into circulation in October 2019, so the time to replace the design has not yet come, UNN reports.

"Today, all global banks and national banks review the design of banknotes every 15 years. As for the design of the one thousand hryvnia banknote, it was put into circulation in October 2019, so if you look at the expiration dates, the revision of these actions, its time has not come. We are not currently considering replacing the one thousand hryvnia banknote with a new design. The time has not yet come," Prokhoda said.
Recall
On August 1, the National Bank of Ukraine will start replacing 500 hryvnia banknotes issued in 2003-2007. The old banknotes will be available for payments.
