The Netherlands will contribute €20 million to the joint fund of the new drone coalition
It is noted that within the framework of the initiative, Ukraine is to receive about a million attack drones with the First Person View function this year. The coalition is also seeking to expand the delivery to include other types of drones, such as reconnaissance drones.
Ukraine urgently needs a large number of attack drones. They have proven their effectiveness on the battlefield. We will provide this together with 11 other countries, as we confirmed today during the NATO Summit
Addendum
The ministry added that more than 265 companies, including 9 Dutch companies, have already offered to supply Ukraine with FPV drones. The Ministry of Defense explains that the government wants to use the innovative potential of the Dutch industry to provide military support to Ukraine, as well as to strengthen its own armed forces.
In addition, the Netherlands can apply the lessons learned about drones in practice in the areas of drone tactics (countermeasures), strategy, and industrial production.
Recall
The Drone Coalition for Ukraine has created a fund, which has already received more than 45 million euros, for the rapid delivery of drones.
