When asked when the flu, ARVI, and COVID-19 epidemic would end, Kuzin replied: "In mid-April.
The Ministry of Health also told a UNN journalist that 153,537 people fell ill with ARVI, flu, and COVID-19 over the week, including 90,273 children.
"From March 18 to March 24, 4,311 Ukrainians were admitted to hospitals, including 2,389 children under the age of 17. During the reporting week, 1,892 patients with COVID-19 were registered. 614 people needed hospitalization," the Ministry of Health reported.
The Ministry of Health also noted that the largest number of COVID-19 cases was registered in Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipro, and Poltava regions.
"There were 27 deaths among people who tested positive for COVID-19. All the deceased had not been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the last 12 months. Also, one person died as a result of flu complications," the Health Ministry said.
In addition, the Ministry of Health reported that a total of 3,894,723 Ukrainians have been ill with SARS, influenza, and COVID-19 since the beginning of the epidemic in October. 150,755 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.
