Addendum
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted draft law No. 4201 on the abolition of daylight saving time in Ukraine. Thus, this year, Ukrainians will switch to winter time on the last Sunday (October 27) and there will be no more daylight saving time from 2025 onwards.
Some Ukrainians believe that the introduction of winter time in Ukraine will create difficulties in synchronizing time with European countries. MP Volodymyr Viatrovych said that the law passed by the Verkhovna Rada to abolish daylight saving time is an openly harmful and anti-European step.
"First, this decision means that the sun will rise at almost three o'clock in the summer, and in October it will be dark even during the working day. Secondly, this will significantly increase energy consumption, which is already a disaster in our country and which was invented to save daylight saving time," Vyatrovich wrote .
