The Lithuanian government has allocated almost 9 million euros to help Ukrainian refugees in the country. The funds will be used for children's payments, social assistance to schoolchildren, social payments, partial coverage of heating and water costs, and support for rental housing. According to the newspaper, The Lithuanian Cabinet of ministers allocated 8.7 million euros to the Ministry of social protection and labor to help Ukrainians, and allocated almost 10 thousand euros to the Ministry of Health.
The funds will be used for children's payments, social assistance to schoolchildren, social payments, partial coverage of heating and water costs, to support rental housing, etc
It is noted that the Ministry of social protection and Labor reported that Lithuania has allocated more than 114 million euros from the state budget to help Ukrainians in Lithuania. Lithuania spent 34.5 million euros on such assistance in 2022.
