Over the past week, the incidence of ARVI, flu and COVID-19 in Ukraine among children has increased by almost 3%, with a total of 118,276 Ukrainians falling ill, the Health Ministry reported on Wednesday, UNN reports.

"From November 11 to November 17, 118 276 Ukrainians fell ill with ARVI, flu and COVID-19, including 68 333 children under the age of 17. Medical care was provided to 2 ,641 patients in hospitals, and doctors reported five deaths among those infected with COVID-19," the Ministry of Health reported.
Since the beginning of the epidemic season in October, 821 164 people have already been infected. This is 2.3 % of the population of the whole country. In total, 11 847 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past month and a half, 43 of whom died as a result of complications.
As of November 17, 82,805 Ukrainians have already been vaccinated against the flu.
The Ministry of Health reminded, that the most effective prevention of COVID-19 and influenza is annual vaccination, in particular for people at risk.
French and Korean-made influenza vaccines have been available in pharmacies since early October. They are certified and have passed state quality control.

According to the Ministry of Health , a week earlier, from November 4 to 10, 115 [137] people fell ill with ARVI, flu, and COVID-19 across the country.
