The temporary protection for Ukrainian citizens in EU countries should last until a lasting peace is established, said Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov, who is quoted in the ministry, which noted that they "closely monitor all processes" and participate in international consultations to defend the interests of Ukrainians, writes UNN.

According to information published in the media, some EU countries are considering adapting their policies towards Ukrainian asylum seekers in the event of changes in the situation in Ukraine.
The Ministry of National Unity stressed that the Council of the European Union has extended the Temporary Protection Directive for Ukrainian refugees until March 2026.

"Currently, the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine is closely monitoring all processes and actively participates in international consultations to defend the interests of Ukrainians," the Ministry of National Unity stressed.
"We continue to work to ensure that every one of our citizens who is temporarily abroad has access to the necessary support and protection," Chernyshov concluded.
