The composition of the first supervisory board has been approved at the Zaporizhzhia National University as part of the experiment on corporate governance. This was reported by the head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Serhii Babak, reports UNN.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reported that it had approved the composition of the supervisory board of the Zaporizhzhia National University (ZNU), which was formed in accordance with the requirements of the CMU resolution on strengthening the powers of supervisory boards of some higher education institutions.
The new supervisory board of ZNU includes:
-Ruslan Hutnikov;
-Vadym Denysenko;
-Olena Zhuk;
-Serhii Kushnir;
-Oleksii Nikiforov;
-Borys Shestopalov;
-Serhii Choporov.
The appointment was made according to the procedure defined within the framework of the experimental project, according to which the members of the supervisory board are selected by an independent committee consisting of 6 authoritative experts. All candidates underwent a transparent competitive selection process, an interview with the committee, and a security check.

Addition
Currently, the competitive selection of candidates for the supervisory board of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University is in progress. Interviews with candidates took place on December 12-13. The supervisory board of the Kyiv Aviation Institute will be selected at the beginning of the new year.

In September, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, Roman Hryshchuk, reported that three Ukrainian universities had officially joined the experimental project to relaunch supervisory boards in higher education institutions. The Supervisory Boards will have real powers to manage and make personnel decisions.
