The extinguishing of seven fires in ecosystems across the Kyiv, Lviv and Cherkasy regions is ongoing in Ukraine, UNN reports, citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to rescuers, the fire has engulfed nearly 15 hectares of forest floor and peatlands.
Efforts to extinguish the fires are underway in three regions:
▪Kyiv region: 3 fires were localized in the exclusion zone over a total area of 3.5 hectares;
▪Lviv region: efforts to extinguish 3 fires in peatlands in separate areas continue, covering a total area of 10.65 hectares;
▪Cherkasy region: efforts to extinguish a peat fire covering an area of 0.7 hectares are ongoing.
Nearly 80 firefighters and 14 units of State Emergency Service equipment are involved in the operation.
In total, 293 fires in ecosystems broke out across Ukraine over the past day, covering an area of more than 180 hectares.
