Last night, the enemy damaged a large energy facility in the Kharkiv region. Electricity consumption restrictions are in place in Kharkiv. Electricity restrictions are also in effect in Dnipropetrovska oblast, but for industrial consumers. Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo, said this during a briefing, UNN reports.

"Recently, most regions announced the end of the heating season, and shortly before that, on March 22, Russia launched a massive drone strike on the energy system, and since then, attacks on energy facilities in our country have been taking place daily with varying intensity. These attacks have damaged a number of important facilities. Hydroelectric power plants, thermal power plants, and some combined heat and power plants sustained the most damage, and numerous Ukrenergo main substations were attacked. That is, during this period the enemy tried to hit both the ability to produce energy and the ability to transport it, while trying to deprive large cities of electricity," Kudrytskyi said.

He noted that immediately after the strikes, there were problems with electricity in some regions, including Kharkiv, where the situation remains difficult to this day.

In a number of regions, these problems have been resolved in terms of electricity supply to consumers. In Kharkiv, unfortunately, the situation is still difficult. Just last night there was another attack. A major energy facility in the region was damaged, and as a result, there are restrictions on electricity consumption in Kharkiv today. There are also restrictions on electricity consumption, but for some industrial consumers, in the Dnipropetrovs'k region

- Kudrytsky added.

According to him, Russians are using combined strikes, and the intensity of shelling has increased.

"If we take, for example, the last heating season, we saw one attack, a massive attack in one or two weeks, and it was a rocket or a shahd attack. Now it's a whole series. If we talk about the number of "shaheds" that the enemy tried to use to hit energy facilities, then in just less than a decade and a half, this number has already equaled the number we saw in the last heating season for the entire period," added the CEO of Ukrenergo.

Kudrytskyi also emphasized that power engineers are working around the clock to restore power facilities.

Recall

During the day, the enemy attacked energy infrastructure not only in Kharkiv but also in Dnipropetrovs'k region. In Sumy region, an employee of a gas company was fatally wounded by an enemy air bomb.
