Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha reacted to the Russian airstrike on Sumy, stating that Moscow once again demonstrates its unwillingness to end the war. He called on international partners to increase support for Ukraine, in particular by providing additional air defense systems and imposing tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation. Sybiha wrote about this on the social network X, reports UNN.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that Russia struck the city center with an aerial bomb, resulting in the deaths of civilians, including a child, and dozens of people were injured.
Moscow has long stopped even pretending to distinguish between military targets and residential neighborhoods. It bombs apartment buildings in the middle of the night because it believes it can do so with impunity. Those who still believe that Russia can be persuaded to stop with words should look at what happened today in Sumy
According to him, the Russian leadership understands only force, so the international community must respond with concrete actions.
The world must respond with actions, not words. Ukraine urgently needs additional air defense systems and interceptor missiles. Russia must face tougher sanctions, deeper isolation, and increasing pressure until terror ceases to be an effective tool of its policy. Only this can force Russia to stop this war
