Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko summed up the week, noting the opening of the first negotiation cluster with the European Union, the expansion of support for the defense industry, veterans, scientists, and farmers. The head of government reported this on her social media, writes UNN.

According to Svyrydenko, on June 15, Ukraine opened the first negotiation cluster within the EU accession process, which means a transition from political discussions to practical work on European integration.

She also reported that Ukrainian arms manufacturers attracted UAH 9.8 billion in concessional loans under state support programs. The funds are directed towards the development, production, repair, and modernization of weapons, which, according to the head of government, contributes to scaling up the defense-industrial complex.
New solutions for veterans, scientists, and farmers
Svyrydenko reported that from July 17, veterans and families of fallen defenders will be able to use the "eOselia" program at 3% per annum. The state will compensate the interest rate to this level during the first ten years of lending, and subsequently – up to 6%.
In addition, the government introduced a new model of state scholarships for scientists. In 2026, UAH 190 million is allocated for these payments, and the monthly scholarship amount will be UAH 10,000.
Separately, the Prime Minister reminded about new support programs for farmers. In particular, agricultural producers will be able to receive up to UAH 1,000 per hectare of non-repayable aid for the purchase of Ukrainian mineral fertilizers. The government also increased support for land reclamation to UAH 48,000 per hectare in frontline regions and up to UAH 30,000 per hectare in other regions.
Svyrydenko also reported that after the Russian strike on the Assumption Cathedral, urgent works to preserve the monument have already begun, and the issue of its restoration is under special control of the government.
