SpaceX has launched another batch of its Starlink Internet satellites into orbit, Space.com reports, according to UNN.
Details
A Falcon 9 rocket carrying 22 Starlink spacecraft launched on the evening of March 18 local time (02:28 GMT on March 19) from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
The first stage of the Falcon 9 returned to Earth about 8.5 minutes after launch, as planned. It landed vertically on the Of Course I Still Love You platform in the Pacific Ocean.
According to SpaceX's mission description, this was the 10th launch and landing of this particular launch vehicle.
Meanwhile, the upper stage of the Falcon 9 continued to deliver 22 Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit. They were deployed there about 62.5 minutes after launch.
SpaceX reported that "the successful deployment of Starlink satellites has been confirmed."
Addendum
This launch was SpaceX's 26th operational mission in 2024. 17 of these flights were dedicated to the creation of the Starlink broadband mega-group, which currently consists of more than 5,500 satellites.
