One person was killed and at least 7 people were injured in a shooting at a fast-food restaurant in New Jersey, ABC News reports, according to UNN.
Details
It is noted that the shooting occurred at the Chick-fil-A fast-food restaurant around 9 p.m. on Saturday.
The shooting was targeted and may have stemmed from a dispute over drugs or gang territory. It is believed that the deceased was the target of the shooting, while other victims were random bystanders and restaurant employees.
As the local prosecutor's office indicated, although no arrests have been made at this time, preliminary investigation shows that "this does not appear to be a random act of violence, and there is no immediate ongoing threat to the general public."
According to one of the restaurant employees, the shooting was started by several masked visitors who suddenly entered the premises. The attackers are currently being identified.
