Russian operatives have cordoned off part of an avenue in Sevastopol allegedly because of submunitions from a downed ATACMS missile. This was stated by Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev on August 2, UNN reports .

“For the attention of residents living in the area of 242 General Ostryakov Avenue, building 2: Currently, operational services have cordoned off part of the avenue, there are many submunitions from the downed ATACMS missile on the road. Operational services will now remove the submunitions and make a decision on the downed missile (whether it can be transported for destruction at the landfill),” he wrote on his telegram channel.
He added that a notification machine will be used to announce when all work is completed and it is safe to go outside. Razvozhayev noted that on his instructions, an operational headquarters was deployed at the site.
Earlier in the day, he reported that Russian air defense forces had allegedly shot down a number of air targets in the skies over Sevastopol. He later said that more than four air targets had been shot down. Missile parts and UAV debris fell on the streets of the city and damaged power lines and a house roof. There is no information about the victims.
