The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has released the first information about the consequences of a massive Russian missile attack on Kyiv on the night of July 6. In several districts of the capital, destruction of residential buildings and large-scale fires have been recorded, and rescue operations are ongoing, reports UNN.

In the Podilskyi district, a missile struck a 12-story residential building, causing destruction from the 9th to the 5th floor. Rescuers brought 17 people to fresh air, and another 28 residents were evacuated from the upper floors using a ladder truck. The rescue operation is ongoing.
Also in the Podilskyi district, the roof cladding and elevator shaft caught fire, the roof of a 19-story building was partially destroyed, cars burned in the courtyard, and debris fell at the level of the 16th floor of a 25-story building. In addition, the search for victims continues in a 21-story residential building where destruction occurred from the 2nd to the 5th floor.
In the Darnytskyi district, debris fell on one of the 25-story buildings, and in another, a fire broke out in apartments covering an area of 150 square meters. A garage cooperative also caught fire, and after debris hit a 30-story residential building, a fire broke out on the 23rd to 25th floors.
In the Holosiivskyi district, according to preliminary data, a non-residential building caught fire as a result of the attack. Rescuers and emergency services continue to work at the impact sites, and information about casualties is being clarified.
