In Ukraine, scammers have become more active, offering to quickly issue driver's licenses without exams, return them after disqualification, or open a new category. This was reported by the Cyberpolice, according to UNN.
Details
It is noted that scammers offer "services" for manufacturing driver's licenses, restoration after disqualification from driving, opening additional categories, or even "delivery abroad."
To gain trust, they use words like: "officially," "without risks," "without unnecessary nerves." The perpetrators may also use photos of military personnel as confirmation that they allegedly received their licenses through them
It is indicated that on social media, scammers resort to the following manipulations:
- using real photos of service members who actually visited MIA service centers previously;
- promising discounts and special conditions for the military;
- assuring that the license can be obtained online and without exams;
- using photos of public figures or celebrities.
In promotional videos, they demonstrate fake correspondence and "customer" reviews, and convince that the license will be "legal" and will even appear in the "Diia" app. Such videos are widely distributed on TikTok. The main goal is to lure money and personal data
They advise remembering that a driver's license "purchased" on the internet is fake. It does not appear in state registers or the "Diia" app.
Instead of receiving an official document, you may lose money, receive only a plastic card with no legal force, and risk legal trouble. Use only official resources to obtain public services
As a reminder
Earlier, the Main Service Center of the MIA and the Cyberpolice urged not to trust promises to "simplify the procedure" for obtaining a driver's license for money. It is impossible to complete practical training online or without attending a driving school at all.
