The SBU hit the Russian Gorky oil pumping station, which ensures the operation of main oil pipelines, a source told UNN.

According to the UNN interlocutor, "tonight, drones of the SBU's 'Alpha' Special Operations Center attacked the Gorky oil pumping station in the village of Meshikha, Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation."
The Gorky oil pumping station, as the interlocutor noted, is an important link in Russia's oil transportation system and is part of the structure of JSC "Transneft – Verkhnyaya Volga". The station transports oil through main pipelines, including in the direction of Surgut — Gorky — Polotsk. It ensures the pumping of raw materials to internal routes, in particular to the Lukoil refinery in Kstovo.
"According to preliminary data, three oil tanks were damaged as a result of the strike. A large-scale fire broke out, covering an area of 20,000 square meters," the source said.
"The damage to such system-forming stations creates serious disruptions in the logistics of oil supply within the Russian Federation. The operation of main pipelines is disrupted, the efficiency of processing at refineries decreases, and transportation costs increase. Ultimately, this directly affects the revenues of the Russian budget, which are used to finance the war against Ukraine," an informed source in the SBU said.
