The State Bureau of Investigation refutes the information of the CPK that it did not respond to the organization's request and confirmed its non-involvement in the court ban on publishing an investigation into the alleged 143 real estate properties of the brother of the SBI Director Oleksiy Sukhachov. This is stated in the SBI's response to a request from Ukrainian News, reports UNN.
"We note that neither the SBI, nor the SBI Director and members of his family have any relation to the filing of an application for securing a claim or to the corresponding claim in general (if such a claim was ever filed). Incidentally, we inform that on the website of the Public Organization 'Center for Countering Corruption' there is posted information that does not correspond to reality, in particular the statement is groundless: 'the CPK did not receive any response to the request either from Oleksiy Sukhachov or from 'Parkovy-2','" the response to the request states.
The SBI emphasized that by letter dated July 7, No. 22356-26/10-13-05-11137/26, it provided a comprehensive response to journalist of the Public Organization 'Center for Countering Corruption' Alina Stryzhak, which was sent at 9:00 a.m. to the email address specified in the request.
The SBI also attached the said letter to the CPK address to its response to the request. According to media data, the court blocked the CPK investigation into the real estate of the brother of the SBI head.
As reported, the 'Fair Mobilization' movement asks the SBI to check whether activist Shabunin was legally discharged from the army. The movement also accused the founders of the CPK of evading service and published a dossier.
Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Oleksiy Sukhachov stated that the proposed reform of the SBI would lead to the destruction of the bureau.
