In the Kherson region, Russian invaders used a drone to completely burn down the Holy Entrance Church, a unique architectural monument of the 18th century. This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration, informs UNN.

Details

It is noted that this temple was the only preserved example of wooden Cossack sacred architecture of that era in Ukraine.

It was built from oak logs in 1725 in the fortress of Perevolochna without the use of metal nails. In 1784, the Cossacks dismantled the structure, floated it down the Dnipro to Beryslav, and reassembled it in a new location. Since then, the building has been closely tied to the history of the city's founding and development

- the Regional Military Administration states.

They add that the temple survived many historical upheavals and Soviet anti-religious campaigns, but was destroyed by fire due to a Russian attack.
