Russian troops attacked power system facilities in Zhytomyr and Chernihiv regions. The blackout schedules will be in effect from 07:00 to 24:00, and 473 settlements remain without power.

Russian troops attacked "objects of the electricity transmission system" in Zhytomyr region, where equipment and several overhead lines were disconnected at a substation, and Chernihiv region, where equipment was damaged at a substation. The power outage schedules will be in effect from 07:00 to 24:00, the Energy Ministry said on Friday, UNN reported.

Details

"As of today, it is planned that the hourly outage schedules will be applied from 07:00 to 24:00," the ministry said.

Consequences of shelling

"In Chernihiv region, a UAV attack on a substation damaged equipment and started a fire, which was later extinguished," the Energy Ministry said.

"In Zhytomyr region, a UAV attack on a substation disconnected equipment and several overhead lines, which led to a power outage for household and industrial consumers. All consumers have been supplied with power," the ministry said.

Networks status

In the central region, equipment at a high-voltage substation was disconnected due to technological failures. The equipment is back in operation. Consumers were not cut off from power supply.

In Kyiv region, a high-voltage overhead line was disconnected due to technological failures. Several substations and household consumers in Kyiv and Cherkasy regions lost power. All consumers were supplied with power via the backup scheme.

A high-voltage overhead line in Khmelnytsky region was disconnected, which led to a power outage at a substation, household consumers, and the railway (no train traffic disruptions). All consumers were supplied with power via a backup scheme.

A high-voltage overhead line was disconnected in Dnipropetrovs'k region due to a technological malfunction. As a result, the substation, household consumers and local industry lost power. Consumers were supplied with power via a backup scheme.

Emergencies

In the northern region, an armed person attempted to break into a high-voltage substation. The unknown person was detained.

In Khmelnytsky region, a 54-year-old production foreman approached live parts to an unacceptable distance while checking and adjusting electricity metering circuits. The employee was burned and taken to the hospital.

In the western region, a 58-year-old electrician repairing switchgear equipment approached the equipment at an unacceptable distance and suffered electrical burns to his hands. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

De-energization

Due to bad weather, 3 settlements in Odesa region were cut off from electricity in the morning.

Power engineers supplied power to 753 consumers who were cut off from electricity as a result of hostilities.

In total, 473 settlements remain without electricity due to hostilities and technical violations.

Situation at ZNPP

"The water level in the cooling pond is 14.84 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Ministry of Energy said.
