Russia is deploying the Rubicon UAV center to protect its "shadow fleet" in the Black and Azov Seas, reported the ATESH movement on Thursday, writes UNN.
An ATESH agent from the Black Sea Fleet headquarters reports that to cover oil tankers and gas carriers in the Black and Azov Seas, the occupiers plan to deploy regular military personnel and scarce units. In particular, operators of the Rubicon UAV center, the 51st Air Defense Division, and the 1096th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the Black Sea Fleet are being involved in guarding the vessels
According to ATESH, "each tanker is planned to be assigned up to three servicemen. To repel attacks, they will be armed with twin machine guns, man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS), and anti-aircraft drones."
In this way, as indicated, the enemy is trying to secure its "shadow fleet" — the very one through which Russia circumvents international sanctions, earns billions to finance the war, and is now attempting to supply fuel to military facilities in the occupied territories.
"The reason for the command's panic is obvious. In total, over 10 days, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have imposed 'physical sanctions' on more than 136 Russian tankers that were illegally present in Ukraine's exclusive economic zone," noted ATESH.
