With provocative statements about the possible undermining of the Kyiv and Kanev hydroelectric power plants, Russians are trying to sow panic among Ukrainians. This was stated by the Center for Countering Disinformation, UNN reports.
Details
The Center for Public Advocacy emphasizes that Zakharova's statements about the alleged undermining of dams in Ukraine are part of Russia's disinformation campaign.
The Russian Federation continues its attempts to destabilize the situation in Ukraine as part of the disinformation operation "Mir", trying to intimidate Ukrainians with the threat of new terrorist attacks.
It is noted that with these statements, the Kremlin is trying to cause panic among Ukrainians. At the same time, narratives about the need for "peace at any cost" are being thrown into Ukrainian society, i.e., de facto surrender.
The Center emphasizes that the enemy is counting on Ukrainians to demand concessions to Russia under the influence of fear.
Despite the fact that Zakharova's statement looks like an attempt to provide Russia with an alibi before the attack, Russia does not have the means and capabilities to destroy the dams near Kyiv and Kaniv. It is impossible to destroy these facilities with missile strikes, and the option of sabotage is excluded, as the dams are heavily guarded
Recall
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Ukraine is allegedly preparing to blow up the dams of the Kyiv hydroelectric power station and the Kaniv reservoir to blame Russia for it.
