Elena Duma, head of the asset search and Management Agency, tries not to miss a single chance to create her own image and promote her work. But it seems that this PR works exclusively for a narrow circle of readers of her TG channel, because ordinary Ukrainians do not know not only about this body, but also about its head. This is evidenced by the results of a survey UNN near the organization's office in Kiev.
Details
When asked by a journalist about what ARMA does, the majority of respondents reacted with surprise or sarcasm:
By the way, I work in that building – I only see that sometimes there are posters there.we have a lot of organizations for which money should not be allocated
"The army. Work. Mom. America".
Something to do with the reconstruction, no
I only get the idea of exposing some illegal activity.
Those who understood at least approximately the functions of ARMA were critical:
They should look for stolen funds – something that we do not do today. Absolutely.
Meanwhile, Arma chairman Elena Duma never tires of talking about Achievements of the agency under her leadership in her TG channel: meetings, meetings, the importance of changes to legislation, and even does not disdain to promote at competitions to find a manager for Seized Property.
But it seems that these attempts of Elena Duma are not successful and remain out of the public eye. Therefore, it may be worth changing the emphasis from TG messages to real actions, so that at least someone can name at least one achievement of ARMA. Although, given the results of the survey, first it would be worth simply explaining what ARMA is.

Transparency International Ukraine , on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the creation of ARMA , statedthat now this body requires significant reform and practically does not meet the European standards according to which it was created. Anti-corruption activists pointed out that quite often there is "contradictory communication on the part of the Arma or its officials, combined with populism, violation of the presumption of innocence and lack of understanding of the competence of state bodies.
The agency for asset search and management decided not to comment on Transparency International Ukraine's comments about "contradictory communication" on the part of officials of the body, but instead told about their "achievements" in the development of draft laws.
This is not the only criticism of ARMA because of populism. Previously, experts noted that the agency focuses more on politically high-profile cases involving oligarchs than on the effective preservation and management of transferred assets. It is worth noting that Elena Duma in her public speeches repeatedly emphasized among the "achievements" of her work, the transfer of assets of oligarchs Dmitry Firtash, Mikhail Fridman and Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska to ARMA.
