Polish billionaire Rafal Brzoska and his wife plan to sue Meta over fake Facebook and Instagram ads that feature his face and false information about her, Reuters reports, UNN reports.

Brzoska said they have not yet decided on a jurisdiction to file the planned lawsuit, which will be another in a series of global attempts to hold the internet giant accountable for ads that continue to appear even after users report problems to the company.
A Meta spokesperson said that the company removes false ads from its platforms when it learns about them and cooperates with local authorities to fight fraudsters.
Brzoska, the creator of Polish parcel storage company InPost (INPST.AS), said he informed Meta about the problem in early July, but it did not find a solution.
"We plan to file a private lawsuit against Meta... We have not yet determined in which jurisdictions we will sue Meta. We will make a decision within the next few weeks. We are looking at absolutely all scenarios, including a lawsuit in the US if there is no action in Europe," Brzoska told Reuters.
Brzoska said that he and his wife would demand that Meta stop benefiting from the promotion of content that violates their rights and a large compensation donated to a charity, in line with the level of advertising revenue from spreading this type of disinformation.
