During the first three months of 2024 , the expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for the security and defense sector amounted to UAH 408.2 billion. This was stated by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, UNN reports.

In January-March 2024, the expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for the security and defense sector amounted to UAH 408.2 billion, or 58.9% of the total expenditures of the general fund of the state budget

It is noted that UAH 173.1 billion was allocated for defense in March. The funds were allocated to:
- financial support for military personnel, rank-and-file and senior officers, and police officers,
- purchase of military/special equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment (helmets, body armor and other special equipment), fuel and lubricants, and food,
- medical support
- other types of expenses to support the activities of the relevant bodies and formations.

The Ministry of Finance emphasizes that the government finances the defense and security sector expenditures exclusively at the expense of its own tax revenues and military bonds.
Therefore, it is extremely important to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine by paying taxes in good faith and investing in military bonds
