From December 1, The Association of truckers of Slovakia will block Vyshne German - Uzhgorod checkpoint on the border with Ukraine. About this is stated in a message on the association's Facebook page, reports UNN.

It is noted that the checkpoint "Vishne German-Uzhgorod" it will be blocked on Friday, December 1, at 15:00.
Carriers called the purpose of the protest the need for immediate solutions and solidarity with carriers from Poland. They passed on their demands to the Minister of transport of Slovakia, Josef Raj. In particular, the association wants an immediate cancellation of the EU - Ukraine agreement on transport liberalization, which allegedly has a devastating impact on the transportation market in Slovakia.
Carriers promised that during the blockade they would not restrict movement of humanitarian and military aid, live animals, fuel and fresh air chilled goods. At the same time, the import of commercial cargo will be allowed with at a speed of 4 trucks per hour.
